Good morning! As my first official post, I wanted to give some insight into what this blog will be about. My name is Madi. I am 23, and I live a packed life. Honestly, this just means I don’t really have much time for myself, but when I do, I love spending it reading. I have debated whether I should start a blog for a while now, and as I was reading Mel Robbins’ “Five Second Rule,” I figured, why not?
This blog will be unique in that I will share passionate, sometimes long rants and reviews of books I have read or am reading. I would love to hear your opinions on the same books or other books that you enjoy as well. We can talk and just use this space as a long-distance, low-stakes book club. Please email all your thoughts and rants to perspectives@midchapterwithm.com.
I love all things books, fiction, and nonfiction alike. My favorite genre is fantasy, and my favorite ‘niche’ genres are women's fiction and nonfiction about World War II. I have been on a huge kick of nonfiction books this year; of the 7 books I have read so far, 4 of them have been nonfiction. However, my first book post will be about one of the fiction books I have read, “When Women Were Dragons” by Kelly Barnhill. Be warned: it is scathing. If you, too, have strong opinions or a love of books, stay tuned for Friday’s post.
Until next time,
Madi <3
